History of Vaessen Brothers Chevrolet

Ralph and Paul Vaessen started in 1926 in the building along Route 52 which now houses the Village of Sublette Maintenance Department. In 1953, they expanded and built a new gas station, service center and showroom at the corner of Main Street and Route 52. Then in 1977, they expanded again with an all new state-of-the-art Chevrolet dealership at the northwest edge of Sublette. This is our current location.

Ralph and Paul were in partnership until 1977 and at that time Ralph's son, Neal, bought his father's half of the partnership and in 1980 Neal and Donna Vaessen bought Paul's share, forming Vaessen Brothers Chevrolet Inc. Neal and Donna's sons, Greg, Jeff and Nick also have joined the dealership, creating the third generation.

We have the most complete and updated GM Parts Department and Tire Sales with Jeff Vaessen as Parts Manager. Our Service Department is second to none. We have a talented staff of GM Certified and ASE Certified technicians with Maurice Zimmerlien as Service Manager and Greg Vaessen as Fixed Operations Manager.
